Horizontal blinds
The Finest Window Blinds in Wood, Faux Wood, and Metal
When it comes to your home—where you live, spend time with loved ones, and create fond memories—why not give it the window treatments it deserves to deliver effortless light control? With horizontal blinds, you can raise and lower them on a cord or a cordless lift, and the slats tilt so you can dim a room at noon and open it to enjoy the view again at dinner.
At
Today's Window Fashions, we’ve offered the finest in window blinds for over 20 years. We’re proud to specialize in a collection of wood, faux wood, metal, and fabric blinds from top industry brands, including Hunter Douglas, Alta, and Graber®.
Wood Horizontal Blinds
Custom horizontal wood blinds feature real wooden slats that exude charm and warmth in any room, especially in living rooms, family rooms, bedrooms, and home offices.
Our available options for classic wood blinds include:
- Hunter Douglas Parkland® Wood Blinds are made from wood from responsibly managed forests and come in stains, solid-colored paints, and optional decorative tapes.
- Graber® Wood Blinds use sustainable North American hardwood, finished with modern stains and environmentally friendly, water-based paints for a gorgeous aesthetic.
- Alta Wood Blinds feature premium woods for a high-end appearance and offer custom finishes, as well as cordless and automated lift options.
Faux Wood and Composite Horizontal Blinds
Faux wood and composite horizontal blinds give you the look of genuine wood with added durability. These window blinds are well-suited to rooms where steam and splashes can warp real hardwood, such as laundry rooms, mudrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.
Our collection of available faux wood and composite blinds includes:
- Hunter Douglas EverWood® Faux Wood Blinds use an alternative wood that resists fading, yellowing, warping, and bowing, and they come in grained finishes as well as solid colors.
- Graber® Composite Wood Blinds feel lighter in weight and appearance at the window with wider ladder spacing than their faux wood counterpart.
- Graber® Faux Wood Blinds feature PVC construction that handles humidity and wipes clean easily, along with fire- and moisture-resistance and modern engineering for an incredible look.
- Graber® Vinyl Blinds offer a different aesthetic from other Graber® blinds, as they’re made of vinyl yet remain just as stylish and are a versatile enhancement in any home.
- Alta Faux Wood Blinds are made from an engineered polymer with natural-hued wood grains, and they retain their shape in damp air, making them a sound choice for kitchens and bathrooms.
Metal or Aluminum Horizontal Blinds
Metal or aluminum blinds have thin metal slats and a slim profile, which suit hallways, entryways, mudrooms, and spaces with a modern look. This style of Graber®, Hunter Douglas, and Alta blinds also fits narrow windows and sidelights where a thicker wood slat might feel crowded.
Explore our available aluminum or metal blinds, such as:
- Hunter Douglas Custom Metal Blinds feature sleek yet durable aluminum slats that come in many finishes, including matte, metallic, and pearlescent.
- Graber® Aluminum Blinds are practical, with a modern, stylish aesthetic, and are available in various colors and textures, as well as cordless lifts.
- Alta Aluminum Blinds withstand daily wear and tear, especially in busy homes, as they’re durable, moisture-resistant, dust-resistant, and have spring-tempered slats.
Soft Horizontal Blinds
If you want something more distinctive for your home, Hunter Douglas blinds offer just that. Their soft blinds replace hard slats with fabric vanes, so they hang like drapery but operate like horizontal blinds.
Hunter Douglas Aria™ Soft Blinds use a lightweight, translucent fabric that spreads sunlight across the room as an even glow, with a clear view through the window when the vanes sit open. These window treatments come in textured, linen-look fabrics in neutral colors, with cordless and motorized lift available.
